Firewood Delivery to Santa Paula — Locally Sourced, Free Delivery, Personal Service
Santa Paula sits where the Santa Clara River Valley opens up and the East Ventura County hills close in on both sides. It's ranching country, citrus country, and a place where the winters hit differently than down on the coast. Cold air settles in the valley at night, the fog rolls up from the lowlands, and from November through March you can count on real fireplace weather — the kind where a good fire is comfort, not just decoration.
In this post:
I'm Kyle Campbell, and I've been delivering firewood to Santa Paula and the Santa Clara Valley for over 25 years. This is interior Ventura County at its most authentic, and it's an area I know well — not just the roads, but the type of burns people need out here.
Why Locally Sourced Firewood Matters
Most firewood from hardware stores isn't local, isn't properly dried, and may not even be the species on the label. It traveled hundreds of miles, got sealed in moisture-trapping plastic, and arrives in worse condition than wood processed and stored the right way for a Southern California climate.
Firewood Guys sources everything from within 25 miles of where you live — the Santa Monica Mountains, Los Padres National Forest, local arborists, farms, and homeowners who've had trees removed. In Santa Paula's case, that sourcing circle includes the hills you can see from your own backyard.
California restricts moving firewood across regions to prevent the spread of invasive pests like the spotted lanternfly and emerald ash borer. Wood from Firewood Guys never crossed a county line to reach you.
Wood Species We Deliver to Santa Paula
Here's what we carry for Santa Paula and the surrounding Santa Clara Valley area:
Red Oak and White Oak — Long, hot burns, a solid coal bed that doesn't die in the middle of the night. Starting at $144 per 1/8 cord, tax included.
Avocado Firewood — Given Santa Paula's citrus and avocado farming heritage, this one has a local feel. Dense, clean-burning, with a mild natural aroma. From $112.50.
Eucalyptus Hardwood — High heat output when properly seasoned. A smart choice for a valley that gets genuinely cold in winter. From $112.50.
Hardwood/Softwood Mixed — An all-purpose option that catches easily and burns reliably. From $94.50.
Camping Firewood (Mixed) — Heading out to the Los Padres or camping nearby? This blend burns clean around a campfire. From $94.50.
Premium BBQ Blend — Consistent heat, clean smoke, the right species mix for cooking. From $157.50.
Cord sizes run from a 1/8 cord (16 cubic feet) to a full cord (128 cubic feet). Free delivery in most areas we service — some locations may have a small delivery fee shown at checkout.
Kyle's 25 Years in Ventura County
I started Firewood Guys over 25 years ago, in part because of what I learned working for Dustin Walker — a man who ran his own firewood operation and understood what a no-middleman business could look like. No warehouse. No staff. No markup layered in by a distributor.
I source the wood myself from local land, process it, and deliver it personally. If you text me at (805) 795-7111, you're reaching the one person who handles every cord, every delivery, every question.
